Liceo Monjardín | Inicio
Liceo Monjardín is a private school located in Pamplona and economically supported by the educational department of our region, Navarra. Navarra is in northern Spain and Pamplona its capital city. This is a developed region with one of the lowest rates of unemployment in Spain. People hold family, friends and traditions in high regard. Although it is an industrial region, the local government is working hard to encourage sustainable development, so 80% of the energy used in households is sustainable energy from solar panels, wind mills etc.
Our students range from 2 to 18 years old. We believe in educating our citizens for our local community as well as for the world. The school is run by the teachers. This is a new concept for the staff and all the teachers are involved directly in the development of the school which is a source of great pride. The school has introduced ICT in classrooms. There are two computer labs and data projectors as well as laptops for all teachers. The sports facilities at our school have been renewed in recent years: many of our students practise basketball, football and gymnastics as extracurricular activities. As for languages, our students start learning English at an early age at nursery school and take both English and French at primary school.
One of the major concerns of our school is working on the students' European identity. An Erasmus + project will help support this goal.
